2026 Women's Renew
REGISTER HERE!
Theme: Rise Above: Strength for the Climb (Isaiah 40:31)
Workshops:
Amber Saylor—The Forgotten Power of Remembrance
In this women’s workshop on biblical remembrance, we will explore the powerful Hebrew concept of zikkaron—a commanded act of remembering that goes far beyond nostalgia to shape our identity, guide our conduct, and anchor our hope in God’s unchanging faithfulness. Implementing this practice will bring hope and encouragement to any woman in any season of her life.
Sabrina Gogerty—Your Kingdom Come, Your Will Be Done: Finding God's Will in the Prayers of Jesus
Do you ever wonder, "Does God have a plan for my life? How do I know what it is? What if I miss it, or, worse, get ahead of it?" In this session, we will look at the prayers of Jesus: The Lord's Prayer, His prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane, and His High Priestly Prayer. We will see how Christ went ahead of us--not only to secure our salvation but to demonstrate how submission and obedience to the Father's will are lived out. Together, we will look to Scripture to see how God has given us "all things that pertain to life and godliness" (2 Peter 1:3), we will seek to understand more fully what God's plan is for His creation, for His Church, and for us, His children.
Will Hatfield—Dealing with Church Disappointment
Church disappointment can leave pastors and church members hurt, discouraged, and uncertain about what comes next. In 2 Corinthians 1–7, Paul offers a powerful model for navigating relational pain within the church. This workshop will explore the themes Paul raises and provide practical ways to process disappointment, pursue healing, and help others move toward reconciliation and renewed ministry.

Workshops:
Steve Anderson: Connecting with Your Kids—Being a Dad to GenZ & Gen Alpha
Tim Little: Receiving a Mother's Instruction: Husbanding the Proverbs 31 Woman for the Glory of God
Proverbs 31 is best known for its hymn to the excellent wife (Prov 31:10–31). Few, however, recognize that the entire chapter is a mother instructing her son (Prov 31:1–9). In this workshop, we will study all of Proverbs 31, focusing on Prov 31:1–9, and consider how we can better steward our wives strengths for the glory of God.
Andy Stearns: Don’t Get Slaughtered by Smooth Talk
How to Keep Away from Temptation - Proverbs 7
Brad Fincham: Individual Discipleship Plan
Making disciples doesn't have to be complicated. This workshop introduces a practical framework for one-on-one discipleship that gives you a simple plan for investing in others and helping them grow in Christ.

2026 Mid-Winter Couple's Retreat
The theme for our retreat this year is Trusting God in Your Season of Life.
A note from our speaker, Andy Stearns: We notice that in scripture much of life is viewed seasonally. The righteous man brings forth his fruit “in season” (Ps. 1). There are times (seasons) for living and dying, planting and harvesting, et al (Eccl. 3).
Marriage is no different. We start without kids and then our quiver grows. We have a season without and a season with. But for some, the season without stays with us (infertility) or comes upon us before we want it (empty-nesters). For others the season is one of rejoicing over God's provision of a good spouse. We might have waited long or not at all, and now we are delighting in the gift He has given. For others, sorrow has arrived like the turning of the leaves before winter. Try as we might, it seems like we find ourselves back in the valley of difficulty. For some it’s the warring of conflict and for others it’s the pain of illness and the often difficult treatments that must be endured.
How then can we approach a conference with all of these seasons of marriage in mind? Does scripture have any help for both the infertile couple and the one with 8 kids? Can God’s Word speak meaningfully to the newlywed in her late 30’s and the one married for 30 years as well?
The answer is “yes!” Scripture offers believers principles that apply to any season in which we find ourselves.
Take a break from the busyness of life and invest in your marriage at this year’s Mid-Winter Couple’s Retreat! We’ll be gathering at our new location—the Holiday Inn Airport in Des Moines — a beautiful setting to relax, reconnect, and enjoy fellowship with other couples. Make plans now to attend! You won’t want to miss this special time away together!
**A hotel stay is NOT included in this registration. If you would like to stay at the hotel, a room block is available until January 12, 2026. Pastors & Wives Refresh Retreat
As Pastors and wives, we face many challenges and discouragements as we serve the Lord. There is a real value in getting away with others in ministry in order to gain perspective. The Refresh Retreat is an opportunity to refocus upon Jesus as we encourage each other in serving the Lord. An opportunity to deepen friendships. To laugh and cry. To share burdens, and to listen to the cares of others. To sing and rejoice in what God is doing. I hope that you will plan to come this year so that you might be encouraged and be an encouragement to fellow servants of Christ.

TGX Conference at Soteria
NAME: The Great Exchange Conference
THEME: Membership Matters
DATES: September 15–16
LOCATION: Soteria Church, 3250 SE Soteria Ave, West Des Moines, IA 50265
REGISTRATION WEBSITE: tgx.network
What makes a church strong? Is it great preaching? A thriving children’s ministry? A packed worship service? While these things matter, the real strength of a church lies in its members—who they are, how they engage, and how they’re shepherded. That’s why The Great Exchange Conference (TGX) 2025 is dedicated to this critical theme: Membership Matters.
Join us September 15–16 at Soteria Church as we equip pastors and church leadership teams to develop a biblical, intentional approach to church membership. This year’s conference features keynote speakers Mark Hallock and Mike Augsburger, who will walk us through four powerful plenary sessions on the Gospel implications of church membership—what it means, why it matters, and how it fuels the Great Commission.
Beyond the keynotes, workshops will dive deep into the practical challenges of leading a healthy, committed church body, including:
How to exercise church discipline biblically and effectively
When and how to involve new attendees in serving and ministry
Helping children engage in every-member ministry
Shepherding through growth groups and fostering discipleship
Whether you’re a pastor, deacon, church staff member, small group leader, or ministry volunteer, this conference is for you. Our goal is to help church leadership teams grow in unity and clarity, equipping them to lead with conviction and purpose.
Don't miss this opportunity to reignite your team’s passion for the local church and gain the tools needed to strengthen your congregation from the inside out.
Register now at tgx.network and take the next step in building a thriving, Gospel-centered church!
