Two steps forward and one step backward.  The "two steps forward" this week is advancing out of the reclining chair to laying out flat on the bed.  Last night was the first time since Judy's surgery that she was able to spend the entire night in bed!!  The other step forward is slightly increased physical activity.  Judy has been able to get up out of the reclining chair under her own power, to sit at the dining room table, and other such activities that we all take so for granted.

The "one step" backward was the development of an infection pocked at one of the two suture sites where a drain tube had been.  Judy also struggles with almost constant nausea, which negatively affects her appetite, as well as other physical activities.  Thursday she will have her 38 staples removed from the 14" incision on her back and side.  She is hoping that the doctor will release her to travel to our home in Tipton, 90 miles away from Dysart.

Again, Judy wants to thank all those who have sent emails and cards and made phone contact for the encouragement these all have been to her.
