Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.
Proverbs 14:34
Thank you God for our great Country and Happy Birthday America!
If we want to have righteous laws we need righteous Lawmakers (Congressmen,
School Board Members, etc. ), righteous Executives (Presidents, Governors, Mayors, etc.) and a righteous Judiciary (Judges). Such will be elected, appointed and ratified primarily by righteous citizens, congressmen, presidents, etc. Without such we are reproachable, shamed and disgraced for many reasons and in many ways, before the eyes of God and men.
"There is nothing wrong with America that can't be fixed by what is right with America." - President Bill Clinton
On this 236th Birthday of our unique and beloved United States of America, may I suggest an appropriate gift for you to give to her and the God Who gave her to you? Commit yourself to pray, get informed about the candidates and issues and vote your faith (righteousness) in the November Elections. One of the things that is still right with America is that Christians can still vote and be involved in our government in many other ways.
If you want to have a far greater impact on restoring the USA to her former greatness (righteousness), also commit yourself to living out your faith (righteousness) in every other area of your life: your time, your talents, your treasure and your Christian testimony.
If you want to do even more, pray for and encourage others to do the same.
