On Sunday, June 10, Walnut Ridge Baptist Church formally installed Dr. Lee D. Kliewer as Senior Pastor.
Pastor Lee and wife Colleen come to Waterloo from Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, where for the past fourteen years Lee served as Assistant Dean and Registrar at Baptist Bible Seminary. Previously, the Kliewers spent twenty years in local church ministry in Florida, New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Pastor Lee is a graduate of Baptist Bible College (B.S.M.) and Seminary (M.Min.) and Nova Southeastern University (Ed.D.).
In the installation service, Jim Jeffery of BBC&S gave the charge to the church, and John Greening (GARBC National Representative and former Walnut Ridge Associate Pastor) gave the charge to Pastor Lee. Ron Graef, who served as Interim Senior Pastor at Walnut Ridge in 2011, led in an installation commitment for pastor and congregation. Former Walnut Ridge pastors David Moore and Mike Augsburger shared in comments and prayer, and ministry friends David Strope and Pat Nemmers also participated. The church hosted a reception following the service to welcome the Kliewers to the community.
Pray for God’s blessing upon Walnut Ridge in days to come!
